the first version of this new iteration of a constantly renewing web presence

hilariously, the background I currently have set makes reading anything impossible. i love old school web design that makes things hard to read.

    obscurity is underrated.

everything modem is so qingchu清楚, clear and up front and in your face

    make me use invisible ink.

If you are reading this, you wanted to badly enough

that you came all the way here

maybe by the time you got here, I changed the background of this page. But the first time it was published, this blog post was

part of the Forest at twilight, sinking into the pond, and running it’s words into the dust of stones, the sands dug from the depths, the wet reflection of sky

Kara Elizabeth Peters Parkinson was born in 1988 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and is a writer, Forest School Practitioner, and animistic astrologer of Irish, Scottish and English descent practicing in Manitoba, Turtle Island, the ancestral homeland of the Anishnaabe, Ininew, Oceti Sakowin, Dene and Metis people.

Kara explores the dance between (and co-mingling of) Self and Other, Inner and Outer, Yin and Yang, Earth and Sky (and more such apparent dichotomies) through astrological writing, counselling, energetic healing facilitation, and working with the land and the creative expressions of the body and spirit.

Kara studied Hellenistic astrology and alchemy formally with Dawn Bodrogi of The Inner Wheel from 2016-2017. They have also studied astrology independently since the early 2000s, learning from books, online forums, peers, family, friends and clients, and such authors as Bernadette Brady and Isabel Hickey.
